About Project Rebounce and Our Court Projects.
Our Projects | Municipal Court Conversions & Community Upgrades
What types of projects has Project Rebounce completed?
Project Rebounce works on real-world court upgrades, resurfacing projects, and multi-use conversions for communities, parks, and public spaces. Our projects are focused on improving how courts are used, extending surface life, and creating better spaces for pickleball, basketball, and other recreational use.
We work with municipalities, parks departments, and local partners to help transform existing courts into more functional and enjoyable playing surfaces. Below are examples of recent municipal court projects completed in the Pensacola area.
Municipal Court Projects
Lexington Terrace – Pensacola, FL
Escambia County Parks & Recreation
This project was completed in partnership with Cortz/Birmingham as part of a new concrete court construction project. With new court builds, proper cure time is critical, so the surface was allowed the time needed to set correctly for long-term performance, with a minimum of 30 days and 60 days being ideal.
As part of a larger park improvement effort, Project Rebounce installed the Acrytech surface system to create a durable, high-quality playing surface. Community interest in the project was strong from the beginning, and residents regularly stopped by during construction to watch the progress and ask questions. The response from players and the surrounding neighborhood has been very positive, and the finished court is already making a visible impact.
Lincoln Park – Pensacola, FL
Escambia County Parks & Recreation
At Lincoln Park, Project Rebounce helped transform an existing full-size basketball court into a more versatile multi-use space. Based on the project plans, the court was converted into a half-court basketball setup alongside new pickleball striping, creating a more flexible recreational area for the community.
This project was designed to get more use out of the existing space while supporting the growing demand for pickleball without eliminating basketball completely. The result is a court layout that better serves multiple users and gives the park a more modern, practical recreational surface.
Beulah Regional Park – Escambia County, FL
Escambia County Parks & Recreation
Beulah Regional Park is another example of how existing courts can be upgraded to meet current recreational demand. This project involved the conversion and resurfacing of existing court space to support expanded pickleball use while improving the overall playability and appearance of the surface.
As with all conversion work, the focus was on proper preparation, surface performance, and a finished layout that makes the best use of the available court area. Projects like Beulah Regional Park show how public facilities can adapt existing infrastructure to serve more players and more types of play.
What do these projects show?
These projects reflect the kind of work Project Rebounce is focused on across the Gulf Coast:
• Municipal court improvements
• Basketball-to-multi-
• Tennis-to-pickleball conversions
• New surface systems for public recreation spaces
• Court layouts designed for better community use
Our goal is not just to improve how a court looks, but to improve how it functions for the people using it every day.
How does Project Rebounce approach municipal court projects?
Every project starts with the same priorities:
• Evaluate the existing surface and intended use
• Follow the approved project layout and specifications
• Allow proper prep and cure time where needed
• Install durable surfacing systems built for public use
• Deliver a court that is clean, playable, and built to last
Municipal and community courts need more than a cosmetic upgrade. They need surfaces that hold up over time and layouts that make sense for the way people actually play.
Why are conversions and resurfacing projects important for cities and parks?
Conversions and resurfacing projects allow cities and parks departments to modernize older courts without always having to build from scratch. In many cases, an existing basketball or tennis court can be reworked into a more flexible space that supports pickleball, basketball, and other recreational uses.
That means:
• Better use of existing infrastructure
• Lower cost than full replacement
• More play options for the community
• Faster turnaround for park improvements
Who does Project Rebounce work with?
Project Rebounce works with:
• Parks & recreation departments
• Municipalities and counties
• Community parks
• Schools and public facilities
• Private property owners and organizations
Our project work is grounded in practical upgrades, strong surface systems, and layouts that serve real community needs.
Frequently
Asked Questions
What kinds of court projects does Project Rebounce complete?
We complete resurfacing, court conversions, multi-use layouts, and public recreation court upgrades.
Can an old basketball or tennis court be converted for pickleball?
Yes. Many existing courts can be repurposed into pickleball or multi-use spaces with the right layout, prep, and surfacing system.
Do you work on municipal park projects?
Yes. Project Rebounce works with public and community partners on park and recreation court upgrades.
Why is cure time important on new court projects?
On new concrete courts, cure time helps the surface set properly and supports better long-term performance before surfacing is applied.
Do your projects only involve pickleball?
No. While pickleball is a major part of demand today, our projects can also include basketball, multi-use recreation, and other court game layouts depending on the site.
